Still Unpacking...the Garage
Labor Day we spent the day working on the house. Gabe's parents came up and helped out a lot. I worked on cleaning out the garage (you can't tell that I did anything), his mom worked on the yard (there were a ton of weeds), and Gabe and his dad worked on the future laundry room. Right now the washer and dryer are in the garage. It will be nice to not have to go through the garage to do laundry.
Let's see...Tuesday we went grocery shopping. Doesn't sound very exciting, but we needed groceries.
Yesterday I tried to run as many errands as I could. I still didn't get them all finished by the time that Gabe returned home. So, he went to Hobby Lobby with me to pick up some art work. They only had one of our four pieces finished. I was hoping to get them all back. The framing material that was out of stock when we originally went to have some artwork framed still isn't available...maybe sometime in the near future. Something that I find exciting...rugs that I purchased yesterday. The rug that we had at our back door was really thick and made it extremely difficult to open the door. Plus, most of the time the rug would crumple up and make the door nearly impossible to open. So, I bought a really thin rug and it works wonderfully.
Today I am going to attempt to get a few more things accomplished. I think that we might go to the Woodridge Cultural Fest tonight. It sounds like fun. There is an Irish band tonight that I would like to see and a couple of performances tomorrow that look pretty interesting. Admission is free, so you can't beat the price.
Recently, Gabe and I have been watching the first season of Ugly Betty. We have only watched three episodes so far, but it is nice not to have to deal with commercials. We also watched Joe Versus the Volcano and Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber. They were both free. We are members of the Blockbuster Rewards Club and if you rent a new release on Monday through Wednesday you get a Blockbuster Favorites for free. That is why we rented A Day Without A Mexican as well.
